Resident Evil: Revelations HD Sells 900,000 Copies Worldwide

Capcom reports "solid sales' for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen as well.

Along with many other companies, Capcom reported less than stellar first quarter profits for the past three months ending on June 30th, with a 37 percent drop. The only games Capcom had released during the time included an HD port of Resident Evil: Revelations and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, which was more of an expansion that shipped along with the full game.

While Revelations managed to sell 900,000 units globally, Dark Arisen only managed to sell 550,000 copies. While reporting “solid sales” for both games, they both failed to really affect the overall sales of the company. Of course, with the pending releases of Monster Hunter 4, Lost Planet 3 and other big-budget titles, Capcom’s remaining year should be much better.

Resident Evil: Revelations first released on the Nintendo 3DS and was critically acclaimed even as the next follow-up in Capcom’s series, Resident Evil 6, was panned. Check out our review of the HD version here, along with our review for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.
