First announced back in 2020, Sabotage Studio’s Sea of Stars has been hotly anticipated for quite some time now, and ahead of its release a little over a month from now, it’s hit a major development milestone behind-the-scenes.
In a recently published Kickstarter update, Sabotage Studio has announced that Sea of Stars has gone gold- or, well, almost. The developer says the game will hit the gold milestone on Friday, which means its master code will be ready, and the final product will be sent out for certification to regulatory bodies around the world. Any work done on the game from that point forward is likely to come in the form of pre-launch or day one patches.
Meanwhile, Sabotage Studio has also announced that Sea of Stars’ demo is also now available for free on PS5 and PS4, after previously having been available on Xbox, Switch, and PC. It will feature the same content as all the other platforms.
Sea of Stars launches on August 29 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will also be available day one via Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
