Though 2023 has been dominated by major AAA releases that have enjoyed widespread critical and commercial acclaim, there’s no shortage of games to be excited about on the indie side of things as well. Sabotage Studio’s retro RPG Sea of Stars is one that a great many people have had their eye on for years now, and ahead of its launch just a little over a month from now, it’s been confirmed that PlayStation Plus subscribers (but not all) will get access to the game at no additional cost.
Sony has confirmed via a recently published tweet that Sea of Stars will be available via the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog at launch, which means PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will be able to dive right in without having to purchase the game. Considering the fact that the game is also confirmed to be available on Game Pass on day one, that doesn’t come as a massive surprise.
Sea of Stars is set to launch on August 29 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A demo of the game is also currently available on all platforms.
Sea of Stars comes to PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on launch day Aug 29.
