Silent Hill Shots From 2020 Allegedly Leak, Not the Only Game in Development – Rumor [Update]

Insider AestheticGamer has shared some shots that they claim are from the next Silent Hill...and received a DMCA notice for the same.

Update: AestheticGamer has tweeted about their account being locked due to a DMCA notice, likely due to sharing the images. The pics have since been removed in order to prevent an account ban but this does indicate some legitimacy to them.

Original Story:

Few and far between as they’ve been over the years, rumors on the next Silent Hill continue to circulate. Sony was initially rumored to be working together with Konami to revive the series. However, Bloober Team was also rumored to be working on Silent Hill title (along with entering a strategic cooperation agreement with Konami). The last major rumor was that the studio working on Silent Hill under Sony had changed from the previously rumored “prominent Japanese developer.”

AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, who’s leaked several details on Capcom projects, has revealed some shots that they claim are from a new Silent Hill game. “This is from a relatively new source for me, but I have been given more than enough proof to believe them. I also will mention the names ‘Anita & Maya’, ‘SMS Messages’, & this is not the only Silent Hill game in dev.”

In a follow-up tweet, they said, “The shots are a bit dated, from 2020, so maybe this project looks a bit different now. But what I’m choosing to share. I know many will doubt this, but I have a lot of private proof to show this is real, & as always, I continue to wait on the Silent Hill game reveal.” AestheticGamer also notes that they “did my best to validate everything, & trust me, I have a LOT more proof than I’m sharing, but to confirm or deny things from a new source is always cool in my book.”

This isn’t the first time that they’ve discussed Silent Hill. AestheticGamer once claimed that a new title in the series would be announced alongside Resident Evil 8 (revealed to be Resident Evil Village) at the PlayStation 5 reveal event in June 2020. The latter came true but the former did not.

As such, take things with a massive grain of salt especially since, as noted in the tweets, the project – if it does indeed exist – could look much different now.
