Skyrim: Bethesda collaborating with Sony to get Dawnguard working on PS3

Sony's engineers are working along with Bethesda.

Bethesda has confirmed earlier that the Dawnguard DLC for PS3 is at an uncertain status now due to technical issues and we’ve also reported on this issue on what exactly could be the problem.

Sony and Bethesda are working closely together to resolve the issue, although, at this stage any fix seems unlikely. Sony had earlier released a patch for Bayonetta to decrease the loading times– the game was also a shoddy port.

The engineers at Sony are quite qualified to fix this issue but one thing that is beyond their capabilities is adding more RAM to the PS3, so don’t count on Bethesda releasing the DLC for the system any time soon.

“We work with all of our partners to try and solve their problems. We have a big, broad dev support team that works closely with Bethesda—and with all of our partners—to work with them to solve that any sort of issues they have along the way,” Sony VP Adam Boyes told Kotaku.

“Of course, I always want everything to work always for everyone. I can’t promise any kind of resolution or timeline but can say that everyone involved is trying their best to get this stuff working.”
