BioWare has detailed Game Update 7.1 coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic on August 2. The update features new story content, new end-game content, and general balance updates.

BioWare has detailed the next content update for MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. Set for release on August 2, Game Update 7.1 for Star Wars: The Old Republic will feature new content, as well as fixes and quality-of-life updates.

Here are some of the features of Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Game Update 7.1:

  • New daily mission arcs for Republic and Imperial players on the planet Manaan.
  • A challenging new Operation for 8-player teams
  • Improvements to the Weapons in Outfitter system
  • Key revelations about Darth Malgus and the Sith lord whose relics he has been pursuing.

Alongside details about the update, BioWare has also announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic‘s creative director, Charles Boyd, will be leaving the team after having worked with BioWare for 16 and being a key figure in The Old Republic‘s success.

The update is part a part of the Legacy of the Sith expansion, which was released back in February. Originally set for release in Holiday 2021, BioWare had to delay Legacy of the Sith to February 2022. Legacy of the Sith is the seventh expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
