Starfield Supports Xbox Play Anywhere, Per Xbox Store Listing

Those who purchase the game on Xbox Series X/S or PC will receive a free copy on the other platform with saves shared between the two.

Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield is out in roughly a month, with The Settled Systems animated anthology offering a look at all the different possibilities in the universe. However, the developer still has some details to reveal regarding its features.

The Xbox Store listing for the open-world space-faring RPG lists Xbox Play Anywhere support (as spotted by Exputer). Buying the digital version on PC or Xbox Series X/S entitles you to a free copy on the other platform. Saves are also shared between the two platforms, though it’s likely only for the Windows Store version and not Steam.

Neither Bethesda nor Microsoft has officially confirmed Xbox Play Anywhere support. Starfield doesn’t even appear in the list of titles on the official site for the same (perhaps because it only recently received the tag). There could be an announcement for support in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

Starfield launches on September 6th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with Premium Edition owners playing on September 1st.
