When E3 2020 was cancelled, pretty much every publisher except Bethesda announced digital replacement. QuakeCon at Home 2020 was confirmed but the recently released schedule had no mention of Starfield or The Elder Scrolls 6. Maybe the company would still drop some details on either at some other point?
Perhaps but it won’t be this year according to Pete Hines, Bethesda’s SVP of marketing and PR. A Twitter user’s boyfriend apparently had a dream where Hines appeared and said, “We’re not going to tell you anything about Starfield until next year.” Cute… except Hines replied to the tweet with “Your boyfriend is smart.” So it seems that Starfield details will be coming next year, which means 2020 is a wash.
Though Starfield is meant to release before The Elder Scrolls 6, there’s been little to no information on it. It’s sci-fi role-playing game and Bethesda Game Studios’ first new IP in years and years. Regardless, if new details are coming in 2021, then that should give some idea on how far off The Elder Scrolls 6 is.
As always, stay tuned for more details – it’s going to be along wait indeed.
