State of Decay 2 May Be Releasing On Steam

At the PAX East demo, the game was seen trying to connect to the Steam servers.

As the release date for State of Decay 2 inches closer, we’re steadily getting to learn more about the game whether through a gameplay video or learning about how large the game’s file size will be. Now it looks like the game might be releasing on Steam as well.

This information was spotted by one ResetEra user called Chairmanchuck who pointed out that during the game’s PAX East demo, the game seemed to try and connect to Steam servers. While the information hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it’s certainly possible that the game will release via Steam. It’s hard to think of any other reasons why the game’s demo would attempt connecting to Steam. It also wouldn’t be unprecedented since the previous State of Decay game is also available on Steam.

For now, we’ll just have to wait for some official confirmation regarding this topic. State of Decay 2 is set to release for the Xbox One and PC on May 22.
