Party-based brawler Mad Streets follows on October 7th. Daniel Mullins Games’ Inscryption will be available on October 10th, serving as the first spooky title added to the library for the month. In the meantime, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can get their hands on All You Need is Help, Trials of Mana, Legend of Mana, and We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie (also available on Standard).

Of course, several titles will leave the library on October 15th, so you can finish them now or purchase them at a 20 percent discount. Check them out below:

It’s worth noting that several other titles like ELEX 2, Redout 2, MX vs ATV Legends, PAW Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, My Friend Peppa Pig and DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace for PS4 and PS5 are mentioned in a recent PlayStation Access video. You also have The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition, Lonely Mountains: Downhill, Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York, A Hat in Time, Carto, Forager, Dodgeball Academia, The Wild at Heart and Thief coming to PS4.

Classics coming to PlayStation Plus Premium include Killzone: Liberation for the PSP and Worms and
Herc’s Adventure on the PlayStation One.

Superliminal

Superliminal encourages players to reconsider how they perceive reality, effectively rewiring their brains to make sense of its gluttony of optical illusions and forced perspective puzzles. Except, each scenario in Superliminal doesn’t have to make sense; in combining 2D shapes to make 3D objects, and in twisting perspective to manipulate the size of said objects, Superliminal is a more dreamlike affair, and, just like dreams, leaves a surreal lasting impression.

Inscryption starts with a person trapped inside a decrepit cabin. They must play a tabletop rogue-like card game against Leshy, where losing means a fate worse than death. Players eventually discover talking cards like the Stoat, which provide hints on how to escape, which involves solving escape room-style puzzles.

Of course, there’s much more to the story behind the card game aspect, so it’s worth checking out. Though the Xbox Store listing doesn’t indicate whether 4K resolution is supported on Xbox Series X/S, Inscryption is “optimized” for the consoles. Expect fast loading times (which helps after each “death”), if nothing else.

Inscryption is a difficult game to describe, starting as a roguelike deck-builder. Players are trapped in a cabin and must play a deck-building card game against their mysterious jailer. By sacrificing cards, you can summon stronger ones and take different routes to upgrade cards, acquire new ones, and so on.

Eventually, talking cards, macabre puzzles, and escape room-like mechanics come into play. Pliers are eventually introduced, and that’s not even when the real mind-melting stuff begins. Darkwood

Despite having over 12,000 user reviews on Steam and good critical acclaim, Darkwood is still somewhat of a niche survival horror title. Its open-world structure changes during the day, presenting eerie characters and various secrets as you scavenge for materials. At night, nightmarish creatures roam, prompting you to fight for survival. It’s frantic and doesn’t provide too much guidance, but Darkwood is worth sticking with for its unique aesthetic and extensive lore.

The story begins with the player waking up in an unknown cabin with no memory of how they got there. They’re invited to play a card game by a mysterious individual, all while talking cards warn him that things aren’t as they seem. As the player engages in card battles and learns more about the cabin, they’ll solve different puzzles and ultimately look for a way out.

Of course, there’s more to Inscryption than that, but you’ll have to play it to find out. On PS5, audio from various cards like the Stoat will play through the DualSense’s speakers. Haptic feedback is also supported, and the controller’s lighting changes based on the cabin.

Taking to Twitter, the publisher announced that Inscryption will launch for PS5 and PS4 on August 30. Pre-orders for the game are also open. The announcement was also accompanied with a trailer offering a few glimpses at the bizarre, unique experience that is Inscryption. Check it out below.

Previously, it was also confirmed that Inscryption will feature support for various DualSense’s features, including the controller’s lighting, speakers, and haptic feedback.

Inscryption is currently available for PC. As of January of this year, the game had sold over a million units worldwide. It’ll hopefully make its way over to Xbox and the Nintendo Switch as well, but no announcements have been made on that front.

Currently available for PC with over one million copies sold, Inscryption is a weird mix of rogue-lite deck-building (with cards that can talk), escape room puzzles, and psychological horror. Players essentially wake up in a mysterious cabin and come face-to-face with Leshy. Sitting at the table and playing card games under increasingly gruesome circumstances, one must unravel the mystery of their entrapment and ultimately escape.

Inscryption will take advantage of features like the controller speakers, allowing the voices of cards to be heard through them. The lighting on the touchpad also changes in tune with the cabin. Inscryption presents itself as a deck-building rogue-like where players must win games against a stranger named Leshy in a secluded cabin. As time goes on and more talking cards are discovered, one examines different parts of the room to escape. Along with sacrificing cards for more powerful plays, you’ll also unlock newer cards that can provide an edge.

On PlayStation, Inscryption offers some exclusive features. Audio from the Stoat card, for example, can be heard from the controller’s speakers. The controller’s lighting will also change to reflect the cabin’s interiors and on PS5’s DualSense, haptic feedback is supported (which isn’t the best news given some of the more visceral things that happen).
