The remake of the 2000 survival horror classic will reportedly treat Claire as "the main character," though Chris won't be sidelined.

Doubtless shouting “And the truth shall set you free!” after Leon appeared in Resident Evil Requiem, leaker AestheticGamer, aka Dusk Golem, has some updates on the rumored Resident Evil – Code: Veronica Remake. It’s allegedly being announced next year with a release planned for 2027.

Previously, it was unknown whether it would launch in 2027 or 2028, and he was unsure whether Resident Evil Zero Remake was coming first. The latter is reportedly out in 2028, so an announcement in 2027 certainly seems possible, though he will “keep you posted if I hear differently.”

And if you’re sad about the lack of Claire Redfield in Resident Evil Requiem (thus far), don’t worry – she’s allegedly “being treated as the main character” in Code: Veronica Remake. “Chris isn’t getting sidelined, or anything,” he said.

“Capcom realizes this is ‘RE Engine Remake Deput’, but it’s still very much Claire’s game.” Apparently, the “attitude” for Code: Veronica Remake is to “build upon this,” though we don’t know what that will mean.

In the meantime, Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, with a deeper dive coming early next year. After revealing Leon at long last, Capcom confirmed that he and Grace have about the same amount of playable sections, with the story intertwining their fates similar to Resident Evil: Revelations.

Which one will launch first is currently unknown, but both remakes are allegedly still in the works, according to a prominent leaker.

With all the buzz around Resident Evil Requiem, it’s easy to forget about the rumors surrounding Capcom’s next remakes – Resident Evil – Code: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero. Reported by leaker Aesthetic Gamer, aka Dusk Golem, last year, they’re allegedly launching in 2027 or 2028, per a recent tweet.

Of course, the caveat is that they’re currently unaware of “which is coming out first and which second. But that’s what I’d say to expect.” When told their reports on Resident Evil are rarely accurate, Aesthetic Gamer responded, “This will be accurate.”

It’s worth noting that the latter reported that Resident Evil Requiem had open-world and multiplayer elements before its development reboot in 2021, which Capcom officially confirmed. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see if these remakes actually exist (and whether they’ll come to the Nintendo Switch 2).

Speaking of Requiem, it will receive an “exclusive new look” at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19th. The psychological horror title, which stars Grace Ashcroft and features first and third-person perspectives, is also playable for Gamescom attendees from August 20th to 24th. Stay tuned for more details ahead of its launch on February 27th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

There's no shortage of room for improvement where the original Resident Evil Zero is concerned.

Years where we don’t get any new Resident Evil releases whatsoever tend to be fairly rare, and periods of consecutive years of the sort rarer still. The latter is, of course, what we find ourselves in now, with the entirety of 2024 having passed without a new Resident Evil release, and 2025 threatening to do the same, especially with Monster Hunter Wilds billed as Capcom’s big new game for the year. But thankfully, series fans continue to have plenty to look forward to nonetheless.

That’s not just because the inevitable Resident Evil 9 is obviously in the works – with Capcom also having confirmed that the project is being led by Koshi Nakanishi, the director of Resident Evil 7 – but because that’s seemingly far from the extent of it. Prominent Capcom leaker Dusk Golem claimed close to a year ago that there were as many as five new Resident Evil titles that were simultaneously in development at the time, later going on to claim that that also included two more remakes in the form of Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica. Capcom itself has also confirmed that more Resident Evil remakes are indeed on the way, which should come as no surprise to anyone who has paid an iota of attention to how successful RE remakes have been for the company by pretty much every metric- even if RE Zero and Code Veronica might not be everyone’s most expected remake picks.

Even so, we can speak at length about why those two picks for remakes make a lot of sense, and why series fans have reason to be excited about them. And we have, in fact. But particularly where Resident Evil Zero is concerned, that excitement is perhaps somewhat tempered by caution. The original RE Zero remains to this day one of Resident Evil’s black sheep, so to speak, which, combined with factors related to the alleged remake’s development, do give rise to some interesting questions.

What factors, exactly? Well, allegedly, the Resident Evil Zero isn’t an internal production. As per the aforementioned Dusk Golem, the project is being led by external teams K2 and M-Two, both of whom have had plenty of experience with the RE franchise. The two provided development support for 2023’s Resident Evil 4 remake, in addition to leading development on its Separate Ways DLC, and also leading development on 2020’s Resident Evil 3 remake. And that last bit might be what might raise some eyebrows.

The Resident Evil 3 remake is obviously not without its redeeming qualities, and viewed on its own merits, it does have its fair share of strengths, standing as a well-crafted, polished action horror game. Arguments about its inability to properly capture the heights of the original RE3 and reimagine it as successfully as other Resident Evil remakes have done with their own source material are not without merit either though, and for those who want all of their Resident Evil remakes to be at the level of quality of something like Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 4 might be concerned about whether the Zero remake is going to be able to do that.

Unlike the original RE3, the original Resident Evil Zero is also a much more flawed game. From its narrative choices to the way it handled inventory management (what with the complete lack of item boxes), there was a lot that dragged that experience down, which means any remake is going to have to step around and even improve some notable deficiencies. That M2 and K-Two can lead a project that noticeably diverges from its source material isn’t in doubt, thanks to the RE3, but the ability of the two teams to do so in satisfactory fashion is what some might call into question.

As far as Code Veronica is concerned, with the internal Capcom dev team that worked on the Resident Evil 2 and 4 remakes allegedly leading development on the project, confidence will be high that the game will be able to hit a similar level of quality- and given the original game’s status as a mainline numbered entry in all but name, it’s easy to understand why it is receiving that kind of attention. But really, the Resident Evil Zero remake should ideally be targeting a similar level of quality. And no, that’s not just because “all games should be masterpieces, duh.”

No, the Resident Evil Zero remake presents an exciting opportunity for Capcom to uplift and enhance a game that was never able to live up to its potential in its original form. A remake of a top-notch game being equally excellent is all well and good, and obviously expected- but many will argue that it’s the more flawed games that are better served with high quality remakes so that they’re allowed to flourish live bever before, rather than merely flourishing again. And Resident Evil Zero is definitely one such game.

In fact, assuming that M2 and K-Two are actually leading the project the way it has been claimed, their propensity to deviate from the source material, the way they did with Resident Evil 3, might be exactly what this particular project needs. From the characterization of Billy Coen to how it handled item boxes to how the partner system and character swapping worked and more, there’s a lot about the original Resident Evil Zero that sounds intriguing on paper, but just wasn’t executed in that original vision for the game well enough by any stretch. With enough changes and proper execution, those are ideas that can add to a game in meaningful ways (one would hope), and a remake presents the perfect opportunity to do just that.

The original Resident Evil remake stands to this day as a blueprint for video game reimaginings, while subsequent series outings have also managed to touch those same heights, with Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 both also having won over millions of fans. And though our hope is that with Resident Evil Zero, the development team will be taking an approach similar to that of the RE3 remake – one that is open to making significant changes to the gameplay and story as and when needed, in service of a better overall experience – as far as the end results are concerned, we’re obviously hoping for results that’ll be closer to the other three times that Capcom has released remade versions of Resident Evil titles.

That Zero was even chosen is obviously quite encouraging for plenty of fans as it is. Capcom could have easily picked the more action-packed Resident Evil 5, or even the way more popular RE1 for a second remake, but in choosing Zero, the company decided to pick something that would be more horror-driven, even if it is decidedly less popular than most mainline entries among series fans. Clearly then, it’s not afraid to make bold choices. Whether it’ll be able to back those bold choices with the right level of quality if, of course, the big question on everyone’s mind now.

Resident Evil’s past track record with remakes would suggest that fans have every reason to be excited about what a reimagined Resident Evil Zero will look like. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the game will be able to shine much brighter on its second time in the spotlight.

The collection, which includes remasters of the original Resident Evil remake and Resident Evil Zero, launched in 2016.

Resident Evil Origins Collection launched for PS4 and Xbox One in 2016, before releasing for the Nintendo Switch in 2019, bringing HD remasters of the original Resident Evil remake and Resident Evil Zero to modern platforms. Of course, more modern platforms have released since then, and the remastered duology could be gearing up for more ports.

At least that’s if a recent ESRB listing is anything to go by. The ratings board has rated Resident Evil Origins Collection for Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. Of the two, the game is, of course, already available on the latter. The listing seems to suggest, however, that it could be coming to Xbox Series X/S as well. Whether that means a PS5 port is also incoming is another question.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the only older Resident Evil release that seems to be preparing for a re-release. Resident Evil 6 has also been rated for Xbox Series X/S by the ESRB. Read more on that through here.

What should we expect from the next few years of Resident Evil?

We’re in a second golden age of Resident Evil now, with Capcom’s survival horror franchise having delivered a string of all-time classics ever since RE7 turned its fortunes around in 2017. Whether its remakes or new mainline entries, pretty much everything Resident Evil does these days turns to gold, so it’s only natural that there’s always plenty of excitement and curiosity surrounding what the future holds for the series.

Of course, that’s something that we currently don’t have a ton of concrete details on. We can obviously take for granted the fact that Capcom has multiple Resident Evil games in the works and lined up for release over the coming years- that much would be obvious even in the absence of any communication whatsoever from the company itself. But the exact nature of those plans is something that we don’t yet know much about. As ever though, we do have leaks and rumours to fall back on.

Interestingly enough, leaks have also claimed that, yes, Capcom does indeed have multiple RE titles in the works simultaneously. More specifically, prominent insider and leaker Dusk Golem (aka AestheticGamer) claimed earlier in the year that as many as five Resident Evil titles are in the works– and if the leaker’s claims are anything to go by, we know what at least three of those games will be.

Unsurprisingly, one is Resident Evil 9, or whatever Capcom ends up calling the series’ next mainline numbered entry, i.e. the follow-up to Resident Evil Village. The game is allegedly going to leverage the RE Engine’s new open world tech (which it now boasts courtesy of Dragon’s Dogma 2), which likely means it’ll be a wider and more expansive experience than its predecessors, while it also allegedly has the largest ever development budget and longest ever development cycle for a Resident Evil game to date. Another source, Residence of Evil, has claimed that fan favourite series mainstays in Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine will return to share the spotlight as the protagonists, though Dusk Golem has refuted those claims- which means we’re going to have to wait for official word from Capcom for more clarity on what to expect.

When that official word will arrive is anyone’s guess. Very rarely does Capcom take off years with Resident Evil. With the exception of 2018 and 2024, it has released either a new Resident Evil game or new DLC for a previously released one every single year over the last few years, and under ordinary circumstances, that would mean RE9 would be more or less a lock for 2025. However, with Monster Hunter Wilds being Capcom’s big flagship release for the early months of next year, that would mean Resident Evil 9 would likely be releasing in the later months. The last several entries in the series have come out in the first half of their respective years, and though that doesn’t mean that RE9 can’t buck that trend, it does make it seem a little unlikelier. Even so, at the latest, we’d expect the game to release by the first few months of 2026, which means the wait for more information won’t be an interminable one, at the very least.

Beyond that, to no one’s surprise, it’s claimed that multiple Resident Evil remakes are also in the works. The series has been on a stellar run with its remakes, having enjoyed widespread critical and commercial acclaim across the board, which meant new remakes were pretty much a guarantee. What might take some by surprise, however, is the projects that Capcom has allegedly chosen to remake. Most would have figured that Resident Evil 5 would be the next natural choice, while many even wondered if the original Resident Evil could be in line for a second remake, this time bringing the classic into the modern era with an RE Engine third-person reimagination.

However, based on what Dusk Golem claimed earlier in the year, neither of those two are being remade– yet, at the very least. Instead, Capcom is allegedly developing remakes of Resident Evil: Code – Veronica and Resident Evil Zero. The former is something that many fans have been begging for for a while now, and though the latter is considered one of the franchise’s black sheep, it’s a game that many feel could benefit massively from a facelift and a reimagining. The prospect of remakes of the two titles is certainly an exciting one, then, especially because of how unexpected it is.

Interestingly, it’s claimed that the Zero remake isn’t actually being handled by Capcom internally, with external teams K2 and M-Two supposedly leading the charge for the project, with Capcom overseeing. For those unfamiliar, those were the teams that handled the Resident Evil 3 remake, a game that has a decidedly spottier reputation that virtually every other modern Resident Evil title, which means there will likely be some who will be skeptical about what that means for the Zero remake. Given the fact that Code – Veronica is the unquestionably bigger and more significant title, however, it makes sense that Zero has been handed to an external team while Capcom itself takes care of more pressing projects. Besides, Resident Evil 3 is, at the very least, a fun, well-made game, even with its flaws, so hopefully, Zero will at least be on that same level, if not better.

Beyond that, what the other two Resident Evil games are besides the three we’ve touched on is a mystery. It’s possible that early work has already started on the next mainline Resident Evil entry after RE9- after all, RE9 itself has allegedly been in development since 2018, three years before even Village had come out, so it wouldn’t be inconceivable for Capcom to be adopting a similar approach for what comes next. That is all guesswork at best, however. Sure, RE9, Code – Veronica, and Zero are also all unconfirmed and unverified rumours, which is only a little worse than guesswork- but in the absence of official information, it is better than guesswork.

What’s exciting about Resident Evil right now is that it seems like Capcom has a vast treasure trove of past material and new ideas to dive into for future instalments. Where new entries are concerned, given the series’ vast web of narrative threads, characters, settings, and flavours, it feels like there’s so much a new Resident Evil could do, while in the remake department, Capcom clearly won’t be running out of games to remake and improve anytime soon. That RE5 remake is an inevitability, even if it’s not being made right now, and we’d bet that another RE1 remake will eventually happen as well. Can we maybe also expect a Resident Evil 6 remake down the line? That remains to be seen, but the fact that it’s a possibility, and the fact that even a game as disastrous as RE6 would make for an exciting remake in this age of Resident Evil, tells you all you need to know about the excellent shape the beloved horror franchise currently finds itself in.

If recent rumours are accurate and RE0 and Code Veronica are indeed being remade, series fans have every reason to be excited.

After the recent back-to-back successes of Resident Evil remakes, there was little doubt in anyone’s mind that Capcom wasn’t going to slow that train down anytime soon. The company itself confirmed last year that it had every intention to keep developing more Resident Evil remakes, and though we’ve yet to hear any official details on those plans, recent leaks have indicated that the company has already taken several steps to put those plans into practice. Interestingly enough, however, it doesn’t look like Capcom has chosen the games for Resident Evil’s next remakes that many would have deemed the likeliest candidates to be remade next.

After having delivered remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 in recent years, most would have expected that Capcom would stick with the series’ numbered entries. The company had already skipped Code Veronica before moving to 4, which meant that the majority of series fans were confident that Resident Evil 5 would be the next remake (especially because ending scenes in Resident Evil 4 and its DLC, Separate Ways also seemed to be pointing to an imminent RE5 remake). At the same time, many in the fanbase also felt that it was only a matter of time before Capcom went back and did another remake of Resident Evil 1.

According to recent leaks, however, neither of those two is being remade. As per prominent insider Dusk Golem, Capcom is currently working on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica (which, as per the insider, are two among five Resident Evil games that are currently being worked on, Resident Evil 9 being another one). Other reliable sources like IGN and VGC’s Andy Robinson have also corroborated Dusk Golem’s claims, which means it’s looking more than a likely at this point that the next remakes we see from Resident Evil are going to be ones that not many would have expected to see.

Obviously, Zero and Code Veronica aren’t numbered games, while the two of them also don’t enjoy the sort of universally glowing reputation that a lot of other, previously remade Resident Evil games did, all of which is to say that Capcom likely would have viewed them as less financially attractive prospects than full-fledged numbered Resident Evil games- a notion that many would say was proven accurate when, after Resident Evil 3, Capcom chose to remake Resident Evil 4 instead of Code Veronica, even though the latter was what the series’ chronology demanded.

But as unlikely as remakes of Zero and Code Veronica would have seemed to many – especially at a point where Capcom does have other numbered Resident Evil games to turn to as options when deciding what to remake next – in my view, it’s the best possible decision that Capcom could have made for Resident Evil and its fans at this point, and for multiple reasons.

The biggest and most obvious of those reasons is the plain and simple fact that remakes of RE Zero and Code Veronica are just much more interesting prospects than remakes of, say, RE1 and RE5. For starters, we’ve already had a remake of Resident Evil 1, and it was already an unabashed masterpiece. Sure, the remake itself is quite an old game at this point, and another take on the classic that reimagines it as a third-person game built in the RE Engine does sound like a salivating prospect- but a remake of a game that has already received a pretty darn good remake in the past is inherently an idea with more than a little friction.

Then you have Resident Evil 5, which doesn’t feel like it’s in need of a remake. Sure, the game is a decade and a half old at this point, but it doesn’t feel that old. It doesn’t have all the polish and gameplay improvements of modern Resident Evil games, and obviously, its visuals and tech have aged (as well as aspects of its story and writing), but all things considered, Resident Evil 5 is still a hell of an action game, especially if you’re playing co-op. Could it be even better with a remake? Sure. But it wouldn’t be the sort of exciting, radical leap forward that gets you out of your seat.

You know what would be that kind of a leap? You guessed it. Either Zero or Code Veronica would almost definitely get that sort of a leap. Both of them are games from Resident Evil’s fixed cameras era, which means their remakes are going to feel similar in the magnitude of their changes to the likes of Resident Evil 2 and 3. Visually, mechanically, narratively, and from a design perspective, Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica’s remakes are both going to look and feel significantly different than the originals, and that in and of itself makes them much more exciting than other potential RE remakes.

And yes, both games are going to require significant reimagining, because both of them have major issues in different areas that drag them down- issues that Capcom will have to address as priorities if it wants the remakes to be received well. Resident Evil Zero’s lack of item boxes and its character swapping mechanics led to some of the game’s most frustrating aspects, while Code Veronica is notoriously poorly tuned with its resources, difficulty, and design, in addition to having an infamously off-rails and over-the-top story.

Obviously, Capcom will have to keep a lot of those elements in place, otherwise, why even bother remaking those games, right? For instance, you can’t imagine a Code Veronica without characters such as Steve or the Ashford twins, even if they weren’t exactly the most universally beloved characters, and similarly, you can’t imagine Resident Evil Zero without having players frequently switching between Rebecca and Billy. The company will, however, have to find a way to heavily rework and redesign those problematic elements.

Characters will have to be entirely rewritten, performances will need to be completely new takes, mechanics and significant portions of the design will have to be entirely overhauled- remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica will likely be radical overhauls, a lot of which will simply be down to just plain necessity. And isn’t that a much more interesting way to remake a game than the much more conservative approach Capcom undoubtedly would have taken with Resident Evil 5? And sure, an entirely new vision of what Spencer Mansion and its iconic, horrifying hallways can look like is an alluring idea, to say the very least- but given the option, we’d much rather hold off on that and prioritize other remakes first.

Sure enough, it seems like that’s exactly what Capcom has done as well. There’s absolutely no way that the company isn’t eventually going to get to remakes of Resident Evil 1 and 5- one way or another, and at some point in the future, both of those are absolutely, without a shadow of doubt going to happen. But in holding those games back for now and deciding to go with Zero and Code Veronica first, not only has the company gone with the more creatively interesting picks that will give their developers much greater freedom in how they choose to recreate the source material, it has also ensured that it isn’t going to have to worry about having run out of games to remake anytime soon. Until then, we couldn’t be more excited about the prospect of Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica receiving the sort of remake treatment that other games in the franchise have enjoyed in recent years.

A known leaker has corroborated recent claims that remakes of the two Resident Evil titles are in the works, and claimed that they will also release for the next Nintendo console.

If recent leaks are to be believed, Capcom is currently working on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, and though most would have expected that neither of the two would be a likely candidate to get the next remake, it’s continuing to look likelier that the leak may indeed be accurate.

For starters, the claims, originally made by prominent leaker Dusk Golem, have been corroborated by several other sources, including VGC’s Andy Robinson on Twitter, Universo Nintendo’s editor-in-chief Felipe Lima, and IGN.

Additionally, Lima has also claimed that both Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica will also launch natively for the next-gen Nintendo console, which is set to be officially unveiled in the coming months. Whether the two remakes will come to the Switch’s successor day and date or get delayed releases on the platform remains to be seen.

That said, if past leaks are to be believed, a large number of major third-party multiplatform releases are going to release for the Switch 2 as well. Allegedly, that includes the likes of Monster Hunter Wilds, Far Cry 7, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Persona 3 Reload, Persona 6, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, and more.

As for the Nintendo Switch 2 itself, reports have claimed that it will launch in March 2025.

The rumoured Resident Evil Zero remake is being made by K2 and M-Two, it's been claimed.

Capcom made it abundantly clear last year that it intended to keep making more Resident Evil remakes, and though many would have imagined that Resident Evil 5 and another remake of Resident Evil 1 were the likeliest to take the stage next, prominent leaker Dusk Golem has claimed that neither of those is in development, and that Capcom is currently instead working on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica.

In a follow-up tweet, the leaker also provided further details on the development of both titles. As per the leaker, Resident Evil Zero’s remake is being primarily development by external teams in the form of K2 and M-Two. Notably, both studios together led development on 2020’s Resident Evil 3 remake as well as the Resident Evil 4 remake’s Separate Ways expansion. They also provided development support on the RE4 remake’s base game.

Meanwhile, the leaker further goes on to claim that the Code Veronica remake is being developed internally by Capcom Dev 1, by the same team and “a lot of the same people” that developed the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4.

How far along these projects are in development and which one of them will be ready to release firs remains to be seen.

Dusk Golem has also claimed that Resident Evil 9 has been delayed into late 2025 at the earliest, and that it won’t be revealed this summer. Read more on that through here.

A leaker claims that recent claims of another RE1 remake are false, but that other earlier titles in the series are being remade nonetheless.

Capcom has released a string of Resident Evil remakes in recent years that have enjoyed impressive critical and commercial success, and to no one’s surprise, the company confirmed last year that it had plans in place for yet more remakes of earlier Resident Evil games. Which ones exactly though? That’s the question that many fans have asked more than a few times, and as per a prominent leaker, the answer might not be what you expect.

Leaks have previously claimed that as many as five Resident Evil games are currently in the works at Capcom, which includes multiple remakes. And as per prominent Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem, that includes neither Resident Evil 1, which was the subject of recent leaks, nor Resident Evil 5, which many believed would come next after remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4.

As per the insider, Capcom has instead started development on remakes of Resident Evil Zero, which originally released in 2002 for the GameCube and served as a prequel to Resident Evil 1, and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, which is a direct follow-up to Resident Evil 2 and considered to be the series’ true third mainline entry by many in all but name. Demand for remakes of both titles – the latter in particular – has been high. Interestingly, Dusk Golem’s claims have also been corroborated by VGC’s Andy Robinson.

Additionally, Dusk Golem has also claimed that Resident Evil 9 has been internally delayed to late 2025 at the earliest, and that the game isn’t going to be unveiled this summer, contrary to prior reports.

When any of these games will be announced remains to be seen, but if the leaker’s reporting is to be believed, there’s clearly plenty for fans of Capcom’s survival horror franchise to look forward to.

From the terrifying and nail-biting to insanely over-the-top, some of Resident Evil's final bosses deserve serious recognition.

The Resident Evil franchise is one of the longest-running in gaming, and its story has seen tons of twists and turns. There have been incredible villains (and major disappointments) and enormous set pieces, and despite how ridiculous things could get, its boss fights remain memorable. Let’s look at 10 of the best final bosses in the series, which ended their respective games on an emotional high.

HAOS – Resident Evil 6

There are a few positive things about Resident Evil 6, but the final boss of Chris’s story, a massive BOW named HAOS, was pretty good. The fight begins as a sheer spectacle, with Chris and Piers using gunfire to wear the creature down. Just when they think it’s done, it gives chase through the narrow corridors of the underwater lab.

Piers becomes injured, and it seems Chris is done for, but not before the former infects himself and mutates to fire lightning at HAOS. Of course, even when the creature looks defeated, it comes back one last time to stop Chris from escaping, leading Piers, who stayed in the facility to sacrifice himself, stopping it and saving Chris one last time.
