Metaphor: ReFantazio and Persona 3 Reload Will Release for Nintendo Switch 2 – Rumour

With the likes of Shin Megami Tensei 5, Persona 5 Reload, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable, Atlus has released a number of its major titles for the Nintendo Switch in recent years, so when the developer announced last year that its next two flagship releases in Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio wouldn’t be coming to Nintendo’s platform, many were taken by surprise.

Of course, with leaks relentlessly claiming that the Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever the Switch’s successor ends up being called) is due out sometime in the second half of 2024, many have speculated that that’s the platform that Atlus will be bringing its games to- and according to a prominent leaker, it seems that’s very much the case.

Recently on Twitter, speaking about an interview where Atlus addressed Persona 3 Reload’s lack of a Switch version, leaker @MbKKssTBhz5 – who has a solid track record with accurate Atlus-related leaks – claimed that the reason Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio aren’t releasing for the Switch is because Atlus will instead be releasing both for the Switch 2.

If that is indeed the case, it should be interesting to see when in the Switch 2’s lifecycle the two games will launch. If the console releases later this year as the leaks claim it will, might we expect Atlus’ two megaton RPGs to also launch for the console before the year is out? Either way, we’ll be keeping an eye out for more details, so stay tuned.

Persona 3 Reload launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 2. Metaphor: ReFantazio will launch for the same platforms this Fall.
