Resident Evil Zero Remake is Being Led by Resident Evil 3 Teams – Rumour

The rumoured Resident Evil Zero remake is being made by K2 and M-Two, it's been claimed.

Capcom made it abundantly clear last year that it intended to keep making more Resident Evil remakes, and though many would have imagined that Resident Evil 5 and another remake of Resident Evil 1 were the likeliest to take the stage next, prominent leaker Dusk Golem has claimed that neither of those is in development, and that Capcom is currently instead working on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica.

In a follow-up tweet, the leaker also provided further details on the development of both titles. As per the leaker, Resident Evil Zero’s remake is being primarily development by external teams in the form of K2 and M-Two. Notably, both studios together led development on 2020’s Resident Evil 3 remake as well as the Resident Evil 4 remake’s Separate Ways expansion. They also provided development support on the RE4 remake’s base game.

Meanwhile, the leaker further goes on to claim that the Code Veronica remake is being developed internally by Capcom Dev 1, by the same team and “a lot of the same people” that developed the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4.

How far along these projects are in development and which one of them will be ready to release firs remains to be seen.

Dusk Golem has also claimed that Resident Evil 9 has been delayed into late 2025 at the earliest, and that it won’t be revealed this summer. Read more on that through here.
