The Callisto Protocol to Get Update on PC to Fix Stuttering Issues

The PC version of The Callisto Protocol is getting an update that will hopefully solve the game's stuttering issues, which has been a major source of complaints from players.

Shortly after the release of survival horror game The Callisto Protocol, developer Striking Distance Studio has revealed that it is aware that PC players are facing issues related to stuttering.

Taking to Twitter, the studio has announced that a patch is set to be released later today that should improve the performance of The Callisto Protocol on PC. The studio has also stated that a number of additional updates are also being worked on.

Currently, The Callisto Protocol sits at a “Mostly Negative” user review aggregate on Steam. Most of the negative reviews talk about the game’s performance issues, with quite a few also highlighting stuttering owing to Unreal Engine 4’s issues with shader compilation.

Striking Distance Studio also has quite a bit of post-launch content planned for The Callisto Protocol, with a free update in February bringing New Game+ and Hardcore Mode to the game. The Callisto Protocol also has season pass which features additional content including DLC packs, new death animations, and story content.
