Revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference, we got good look at Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. The gameplay, setting, new features and what players can expect (like new weapons) were all showcased. Of course, more explicit details will likely be coming during Ubisoft’s E3 2018 presser. More importantly, some new information has emerged from an interesting place.
A link discussing the end-game for The Division 2 went live prematurely and while it’s been removed, one Redditor found the cached version to still be available. The page reveals that salvaging Washington D.C. is only one part of the game. The other part involves choosing a specialization at level 30 – Sharpshooter, Survivalist and Demolitionist. A unique signature weapon and new skills are offered to each class so the new grenade launcher and crossbow seemed to be tied to these specializations.
Along with the confirmation of PvP and “new co-op activiites” that “offer some of the greatest challenges the Division has faced yet”, players will also be able to form Clans. Finally, the end-game will always be evolving as Ubisoft Massive will add a full year of “free story-driven missions, map expansions and new game features.”
While the breadth of this content is a ways off from being confirmed, Ubisoft Massive seems committed to continuing the free updates model that it had in Year 2 and 3. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is out on March 15th 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for Ubisoft’s E3 presser for even more information.
