Falcom’s critically acclaimed RPG series The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel will finally be coming to a head this Fall. That’s because the previously Japan-only Trails of Cold Steel 4 is being localized and released in the West this Fall for PS4. Check out the latest story trailer below (though be warned that it contains spoilers for previous games).
Though it’s coming this Fall for PS4, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 will also be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC in 2021. This follows a similar pattern of release to Trails of Cold Steel 3 which launched last year for PS4 in the West and recently for PC. Its release on Nintendo Switch is set for June 30th worldwide.
Even with the Erebonia arc coming to a close in the fourth game, the series isn’t over by a long shot. The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki (which translates to Trails of the Beginning) will release this August for PS4 in Japan. No news yet on when it will be coming to the West but it’s worth keeping an eye on since it serves as a “new beginning” for the franchise.
