The Outer Worlds – New Update Seems To Have Added 60 FPS Enhancement On PS5, Xbox Series X

No word on what Series S plans are.

The Outer Worlds is planned to conclude its debut saga with the next expansion, Murder on Eridanos. The game was success, and now with Obsidian under Microsoft, rumors are flying that a second game is already in pre-production. However, it seems that in preparation for the new expansion and the first game’s grand finale, there is a big update out of nowhere for those playing on new consoles.

An update released today, 1.0.7, and as you can see reported below, apparently it added 60 FPS to playing the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X. There was no announcement of this beforehand, nor have any official patch notes been released, so it’s unknown if there is anything else hidden here. There also do not seem to be any reports of the same addition to those playing on Series S. We’ll keep you updated on when something official is announced.

The Outer Worlds is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Murder on Eridanos will be available for all of those platforms, excluding the Switch, on March 17th. The expansion will come to Nintendo’s platform at a later, as of now undetermined, date.
