The Outer Worlds is almost here, and it’s sure to make a lot of people looking for that old school Fallout style RPG happy. The game is spiritual successor to Fallout: New Vegas, a game generally beloved by that crowd, and those who are gaming on the PC like the olden days gets their look at what kind of rig they’ll need, and it’s actually pretty modest.
As provided by developer Obsidian Entertainment, the minimum requirements for the game are only an Intel Core i3-3225 or an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T with 4GB of RAM. The recommended requirements see you needing an Intel Core i7-7700K or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 8GB of RAM. The size of the game is only 40GB, though we know the console versions will get massive day one patch so it’s possible that’ll apply to the PC as well.
It’s a pretty modest set of requirements for a modern game, so The Outer Worlds is going to be open to quite a few people playing on PC when it releases next week. You can also check out the game’s opening through here.
