The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game Plus Mode Has An ‘Internal’ Launch Date

The internal launch date means they're moving right along.

Now that patch 1.08 for The Witcher 3 has gone live, the waiting game has officially commenced for the next DLC, which will include the much anticipated New Game Plus content. We know that CD Projekt RED was planning on releasing the DLC sometime shortly after patch 1.08 so the waiting game shouldn’t take all that long.

The good news is that the development team announced on Twitter that they have an “internal” release date for the DLC and that they will be announcing the final release date soon. CD Projekt RED’s Marcin Momot made it clear that it’s not going to be too long before we can get our hands on this final piece of free DLC. To his and The Witcher 3 team’s credit, when they say something is coming soon, it usually comes relatively soon.

Patch 1.08 came complete with several fixes, including those that applied to achievements. There had been talk that the fixes wouldn’t be retroactive. The Card Collector achievement fix was included in the most recent patch and that apparently does apply to those who actually got the achievement before the patch landed. While we don’t have that official release date for the DLC that includes New Game Plus, it should be coming in the next couple of weeks. CD Projekt RED has been good about keeping the content flowing since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was first released for the PC, Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One.
