After the release of Valheim’s Hearth and Home update, Iron Gate Studio is working on the survival title’s next big update – Mistlands, which is whole new biome for players to explore. A new screenshot has been revealed which showcases the terrain texture, overall landscape and an ominous mist.
Before that, the studio is pushing out a smaller content patch which focuses on the Swamps. It seems that something “strange” is stirring and by investigating, players can obtain materials and craft a new armor set. The Mountain biome is also getting a bit of new content in the form of caves which “may or may not have some lupine inhabitants…”
Of course, all of this content (Mistlands included) is still in development so the final version could end up looking different. There’s currently no date for when the Mistlands update will release so stay tuned for more details in the coming months. Valheim is currently available in Steam Early Access and it’s sold almost eight million copies as of August 2021.
