Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Releases on September 13th for Xbox Series X/S, PC

New trailer showcases the Imperium's elite squad sitting around. The co-op title will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.

Fatshark has announced that its next co-op action title Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will release on September 13th. It was originally slated for release last year before being delayed to Spring 2022 (and suffering another delay in the process). Check out the latest nondescript trailer below.

Written by Dan Abnett (of Gaunt’s Ghosts, Eisenhorn and The Horus Heresy fame), Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is set in the Hive City of Tertium on Atoma Prime. Such outposts are fairly important for the Imperium of Man so when Chaos begins corrupting the population, it’s your job to snuff them out. Formerly a prisoner, the player joins the Imperium’s Inquisition and undertakes various missions.

Unlike Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Darktide focuses more on gun battles than melee combat. There’s still plenty of close-quarters combat to be had though so don’t worry. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC along with launching day one on Xbox Game Pass. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
