Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is Free to Play This Weekend

Play the entire base game for free until September 3rd on Xbox One and PC.

Fatshark’s Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is currently free to play for Xbox One and PC, starting yesterday and ending on September 3rd. If you haven’t played the co-op hack and slasher, now is the perfect opportunity, especially given the myriad of quality of life improvements it’s received.

Those who enjoy the experience can pick up the full game at 50 percent off on Steam. The offer is only valid till September 3rd, but also applies to the Collector’s Edition as well, providing even more value. Shadows Over Bogenhafen, the first DLC for the game, also recently released so if you want even more content, then it might be worth checking out.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 contains a number of significant upgrades over the first game. On top of five playable heroes, each has three Careers (or subclasses) to choose from that alter their playstyles significantly. There’s also the Heroic Deeds system which alters certain quests dramatically and provides even greater rewards. For more information, check out GamingBolt’s official review here.
