Wolfenstein 2’s Switch Version Gets 9 Minutes of Off Screen Gameplay Footage

It looks surprisingly good.

Bethesda and MachineGames’ Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus launches on the Nintendo Switch later this month, and is also playable on the show floor. Nintendo World Report have gone over and tried the Switch version out, also recording footage of the game in action (albeit off screen).

So, what’s the prognosis? The prognosis is that developers Panic Button, who are handling this port, are wizards. The game holds a steady 30fps, and it actually looks pretty good- if a little blurry and washed out (do bear in mind that the picture quality is degraded due to this all being off screen). Even so, it looks impressive, and it is amazing that the game is running on the Switch at all- this was built for the PS4 and Xbox One, remember.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus launches on the Nintendo Switch on June 29. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can pick it up on PS4, Xbox One, and PC right now.
