2K Games has confirmed that WWE 2K22, its latest title in Visual Concepts’ wrestling franchise, will be releasing on March 11th. A new trailer has been released which showcases the game in action with various WWE Superstars appearing in live-action segments. Check it out below.
After the disastrous release of WWE 2K20, WWE 2K22 aims to revitalize the series, offering revamped gameplay and new features. There’s MyGM Mode along with the new MyFaction Mode and the return of Universe Mode that lets one customize each brand, right down to the match card. Rey Mysterio is the cover athlete and star of the new 2K Showcase but pre-ordering the title nets three different playable of the Undertaker.
WWE 2K22 is coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. The Standard Edition costs $60 on previous gen platforms and $70 on current gen consoles. You can pick up the Cross-Gen Bundle – which includes Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S along with PS4 and PS5 versions in one package – for $80 (and net the Starrcade ’96 Rey Mysterio Pack as well as the Undertaker Immortal Pack).
The Deluxe Edition offers the same content as the Cross-Gen Bundle but includes three days early access and the Season Pass for $100. Finally, there’s the nWo 4-Life Edition which costs $120 and includes all Deluxe Edition content along with the nWo 4-Life Digital Bonus Pack (which features nWo Superstars as playable characters along with the nWo Wolfpac Championship Belt and two additional arenas).
