The WWE 2K franchise has been on something of a downward spiral, and after the atrocity that was WWE 2K20, 2K decided to take a year off in 2021. The wrestling series is coming back in March with WWE 2K22 though, and we may have new details on the game, shared over on Twitter by @NilsAhrDE.
WWE 2K22’s cover star is apparently going to be Rey Mysterio, while pre-order and deluxe edition details have also leaked. The deluxe edition is going to include a three-day early access period starting on March 8 (which means the game launches on March 11, which hasn’t been officially announced yet), as well as a season pass and the Undertake Immortal Pack.
The latter is also a pre-order bonus and is included in the nWo 4-Life Edition as well. It apparently includes MyFACTION EVO cards for Undertaker, perks, and bonuses, as well as three additional Undertaker personas- namely, Phantom Mask Undertaker, Lord of Darkness Undertaker, and Boneyard Match Undertaker.
These details haven’t been officially revealed yet, but if they are indeed accurate, it shouldn’t be too long before that changes.
When WWE 2K22 launches, it will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One.
