While Microsoft showed off quite a few games during its recent Xbox Games Showcase, according to Parris Lilly of Kinda Funny Games and Gamertag Radio, the company has a lot more to show still, with more games set to follow at Gamescom in August.
“Told ya that Showcase was going to be good and the wild thing is I had multiple people at Xbox tell me there was so much more they could have shown and Gamescom is shaping up to be a big show too,” said Lilly on ResetEra.
These thoughts echo Windows Central’s Jez Cordon, who also took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to say that Microsoft has a lot more in store.
“The crazy thing about the Xbox Showcase is… that’s only part of what’s coming,” said Corden.
Microsoft showed off quite a few titles at its showcase, including games like Gears of War: E-Day, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Starfield: Shattered Space, and Fable, among others. What other games the company could have lined up for Gamescom remains to be seen, but it’s not surprising to learn that it has plenty else in the pipeline across its massive stable of first-party studios.
Perhaps Xbox will use the Gamescom stage in August to announce release dates for 2024 titles that still don’t have specific launch plans officially announced, including Avowed, Towerborne, Ara: History Untold, and Starfield: Shattered Space.
