Yakuza: Like a Dragon has been out in Japan for quite some time (where it’s known as simply Yakuza 7), and has seen decent amount of success. The wait has been on for western fans and, unfortunately, there’s no release date just yet- but some new western rating boards could point to one potentially dropping soon.
Ratings from both the American ESRB and the European PEGI have popped up. Neither one have anything new or shocking, just the usual violence, drinking and sexual innuendo fans have come to expect from the series. While it doesn’t necessarily mean a date is right around the corner, official ratings can foreshadow it, at least, and since we know the game will launch for Xbox Series X, it’s possible it could come by this holiday season.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC at some point this year, as of now no native PlayStation 5 version has been announced. Like a Dragon mixed up things big time from previous games in the series, going in a more traditional turn-based system. You can check out what to expect with some gameplay footage through here.
