Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been getting nothing but praise from all gaming publications. But a major problem a lot of critics have had with the game is that it has sub-par AI. The game director, Jean-Francois Dugas agrees with the critics, and admits that the game’s AI is not up to scratch.
“I’d be lying if I said the AI meets all of our expectations but I think it’s normal that every developer has something they’d like to do differently,” said he while talking to Play magazine (via NowGamer).
“That being said, when you look at the type of game we’re making, where stealth and combat need to cohabit as naturally as possible, I think overall gamers will be satisfied with what we did. It’s not perfect but it makes for interesting gameplay situations.”
Stay tuned to GB, we will have our own review up very soon, and we’ll let you know if the AI is indeed a problem.
