Alan Wake Remastered Announced, Launches This Fall

The game is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. It will feature 4K visuals and various graphical upgrades. A release date hasn't yet been announced.

Alan Wake Remastered was leaked just couple of days ago for the second time, and as rumours suggested, it has now been officially announced. Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that the game will be launching this Fall as cross-gen release for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and will be published with Epic Games (with whom Remedy Entertainment is also partnering on an unannounced AAA game currently in production, strongly rumoured to be Alan Wake 2).

Alan Wake Remastered will, of course, include the base game, on top of both of its expansions, The Signal and The Writer, and will also feature commentary by writer Sam Lake. Remedy Entertainment says the game is still “the original experience you fell in love with all those years ago”, though its visuals are receiving significant upgrades. It will run in 4K, for starters (at least on the machines capable of 4K), and will feature cinematics and character models (including that of Alan Wake himself) that have been “updated and improved with some choice next-generation upgrades.”

Alan Wake will launch this Fall for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via the Epic Games Store). An exact release date hasn’t yet been announced, but previous leaks have pegged the game’s launch date as October 5.
