Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered Coming To Nintendo Switch On May 21

The rumoured Switch version of the upcoming remaster has been confirmed.

While unexpected and long-requested first party exclusives may have dominated the headlines in yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, it had few third party announcements in store as well. The previously rumoured Nintendo Switch version of Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered was confirmed, with a short teaser showing the game in action- take a look below.

The visual quality of the game doesn’t seem nearly as good as it does on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC– which is to be expected, given the Switch’s hardware limitations. Assassin’s Creed 3 was always a very good looking game however, so you can’t really go wrong even with the Switch version. The package will also include Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, which originally launched for the PS Vita back in 2012.

The Switch version of the remaster won’t be launching simultaneously with the other versions, though, and will be arriving roughly two months later, on May 21. This also technically isn’t the first time Assassin’s Creed is appearing on Nintendo’s system. Though it was a streaming-exclusive title, and was only available in Japan, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey appeared on the Switch last year as well.
