Ubisoft promised gameplay reveal for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the recent Inside Xbox, which it later downgraded to an in-game first look teaser. Despite this, fans weren’t happy to barely see any gameplay in what was marketed as “First Look Gameplay Trailer.” Creative director Ashraf Ismail has recognized these complaints though and said that fans “rightfully expected” to see more.
“We have a long marketing campaign ahead of us, you will see in-depth gameplay and get a lot more info about the game. Thank you for your excitement and passion! Be patient with us and be kind. It will be worth it!” One theory for the short teaser is that Ubisoft is planning its own online event, which will feature a more in-depth gameplay demo.
Whatever the case may be, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated to release this holiday season for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, and PC. Player control Eivor, a Viking raider who ventures to Anglo-Saxon England during the Dark Ages to establish their settlement. This brings them into conflict with King Alfred the Great, but they’ll also encounter the Hidden Ones.
We’re guessing this leads to their acquisition of the Hidden Blade. As it stands, players can expect to explore several major cities and historical wonders like Stonehenge. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks and months.
