Inside Xbox is scheduled to take place today and is being touted as the Xbox Series X gameplay showcase. Microsoft has confirmed that the presentation focuses more on third party titles (with new IPs from other studios to be revealed this month) with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla being included. Unfortunately, it seems the upcoming open world title won’t be a gameplay demo per say.
Creative director Ashraf Ismail stated on Twitter that, “To be clear, this is an in-game first look tease.” He then plainly stated that there would not be a gameplay demo. To be fair, in-game footage should still be enough to provide some details on the combat, exploration and new mechanics. It’s just a shame that we won’t be getting more than a teaser.
More details and gameplay footage are doubtless going to be released in the coming months though so stay tuned. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be releasing this holiday season for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia. It will support Smart Delivery for the Xbox Series X, allowing Xbox One players to receive an upgraded version for the next-gen console at no extra cost.
