Xbox boss Phil Spencer teased it and now we have confirmation. The next episode of Inside Xbox will see games for the Xbox Series X showcased on May 7th at 8 AM PT. Microsoft is promising a “first look” at “next-gen gameplay from our global developers” for the broadcast.

Of course, the term “global developers” seems to indicate that we’ll see more third party titles than first party games but that’s still unconfirmed. If rumors are to be believed, then gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla may be debut next week. The Xbox Series X logo at the end of the recent cinematic trailer makes more sense in that regard.

Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see. Rumors have indicated that the Xbox Lockhart, a cheaper version of the Xbox Series X, will be revealed next week. We may also see another showcase in June to make up for E3 2020’s cancellation. Stay tuned for more information as it comes in.
