Ubisoft has released the first cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, showcasing the game’s protagonist Eivor and battles against the armies of England. It’s out in Holiday 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia but an Xbox Series X release was also confirmed (which means a release on PS5 as well). Check it out below.

Set in the Dark Ages, the story focuses on Eivor as he undertakes raids, makes alliances and grows his settlement. Gear progression and RPG mechanics like dialogue choices are confirmed. Along with axes and shields, players will use swords and the returning Hidden Blade. From Norway to England, players will find a variety of activities to keep them busy like fishing, hunting and so on.

As for the raids, these see Eivor and his clan attacking the Saxons’ forts in England for resources. With these resources, you’ll upgrade your settlement and add new buildings like a blacksmith, tattoo parlor and even the ability to upgrade new Vikings to your cause. Stay tuned for more details on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in the coming months.
