A new trailer is available for Mundfish’s Atomic Heart ahead of the game’s release next week. It features a scant amount of gameplay, instead focusing on live-action footage with Supernatural and The Boys star Jensen Ackles. As a little girl tries in vain to cast magic against a training dummy, Ackles arrives to show her how to battle rogue robots in the “Atomic Way.”
Releasing on February 21st for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC, Atomic Heart is set in 1955 with an alternate history Soviet Union. As Major Sergei Nechayev, aka P-3, your job is to contain the situation at Facility 3826, whose robots have gone haywire. As Nechayev battles various dangerous robots, he’ll rely on firearms and melee weapons, helpfully crafted with Chaika 3.0, to fight back.
He can use various powers like lightning and telekinesis as well. Though its story will take about 20 hours to complete, post-launch DLC will add new enemies, territories and more. Head here for more details on its PC requirements.
