Atomic Heart

Mundfish’s action RPG first person shooter Atomic Heart has generated plenty of buzz in the lead-up to its launch, and with its release right around the corner, the developer has released a lengthy overview trailer that dives into what players can expect from the game.

Set in an alternate history 1950s Soviet Russia, Atomic Heart will see players stepping into the combat boots of an elite government agent tasked with bringing a robot uprising in a military base known as Facility 3825 to an end.

The military base will encompass a number of open world maps that players will be able to explore and traverse, in the company of Charles, a polymer AI who, in addition to serving a crucial role in the story, will also serve a number of gameplay functions.

In addition to setting the stage for the game’s story, the overview trailer also talks about Atomic Heart’s explosive combat, which will see players utilizing elemental and telekinetic abilities in conjunction with an arsenal of weapons as they take on a variety of killer robots.

Other systems outside of combat are also detailed, including dialogue choices, exploration, open world activities, and more, all of which will supposedly take around 25 hours of gameplay to beat. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Atomic Heart recently went gold, and will launch on February 21 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. On current-gen consoles, it will target 4K and 60 FPS.
