Octopath Traveler 0

So you watched the new State of Play, expecting news from Square Enix on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 or Kingdom Hearts 4 and came away disappointed. On the bright side, the publisher confirmed that a free demo for Octopath Traveler 0 will be available later today for all platforms.

Covering the first three hours, it contains the prologue and first chapter, but since this is an Octopath game, that means experiencing multiple story arcs. You’ll face off against three antagonistic Masters and experience the Kindlers of the Flame story, which offers an early look at the new town-building mechanics.

If that isn’t enough, players can experiment with the character creation system to customize their own protagonist. All data transfers over to the full game, so it’s a great way to get an early start.

Octopath Traveler 0 launches on December 4th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
