Battlefield 2042 – New Gameplay Footage Showcases Battlefield Portal, Hazard Zone, and Much More

Ahead of Battlefield 2042's imminent launch, a bunch of newly uploaded gameplay footage has offered extended looks at the multiplayer shooter.

Battlefield 2042 is a little over a week away from launch, while its early access release is barely hours away at this point. While the poor state of the game’s beta certainly cooled some of the hype surrounding it, series fans are still excited to jump into DICE’s newest offering. Ahead of that, to quell your thirst and give you a taste of what lies ahead, we’ve got a bunch of new gameplay for you to check out here.

Courtesy of videos uploaded by various outlets, Battlefield 2042 gameplay can be found in abundance right now, and it showcases both new and interesting things. For instance, Game Informer has uploaded three videos that each focus on a different map featured in the mode Battlefield Portal (which, in case you’re unaware, is bringing back remade versions of beloved maps from older games). The three maps showcased in the in the videos below are Battlefield 3’s Noshahr Canals, Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s Arica Harbor, and Battlefield 1942s’ The Battle of the Bulge.

Meanwhile, IGN has also got quite a bit of Battlefield gameplay for those who’re interesting. One video focuses on Battlefield Portal, showcasing six different custom maps from the player generated content-driven mode. Meanwhile, another video highlights and focuses on some good old chaotic tank gameplay, while another video showcases a full map (and victory) in the new PvPvE mode, Hazard Zone. Battlefield 2042 is launching on November 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. EA and DICE recently confirmed that the game’s first post-launch season will kick off some time in early 2022.
