Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline is nearly upon us and though there are still concerns over launch day issues with the multiplayer, lead multiplayer designer Thad Sasser told GameSpot that that it won’t be a repeat of DICE’s Battlefield 4.
“You can clearly see our efforts have paid off with the stability of the most recent beta; the beta we just had was pretty smooth. Obviously we expected to collect some problems, and we did. We found a number of interesting issues that we’ve since addressed and fixed; crashes and so on, particularly on the PC client.”
Both the betas and DICE’s Community Test Environment provided quite a bit of information for the studio to build off of. “We’ve incorporated a lot of their changes and a lot of their fixes as well. So I think, altogether, we’re in far better shape and we’re really looking forward to a stable launch.”
Battlefield: Hardline is out on March 17th for North America and March 19th for Europe on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC.
