Next week onwards, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 fans who pre-ordered the game will have a chance to partake in a beta for its multiplayer. It will consist of three maps, seven different modes, eight specialists and a variety of weapons and killstreaks to unlock.
To prepare for the same, Treyarch and Activision released a handy FAQ with some new details. The size of the beta client will be 15 GB and unlike previously suspected, your progress will not carry over into the main game.
It’s also worth noting that the beta code received upon pre-ordering will be redeemed on the game’s website for a token which will then be redeemed on your console. Beta players on PS4 will receive these tokens on August 19th, 12 AM PST. PC and Xbox One beta players will receive it on August 26th, 12 AM PST. Those who pre-ordered from PSN or Xbox Live can bypass the above process and download the beta as soon as its available.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be releasing on November 6th for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
