Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is Seemingly Bringing Back Zombies

Activision seems to be teasing the return of the fan-favourite mode in this year's Call of Duty instalment.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s single player campaign is going to see players facing the threat of Vladimir Makarov once again, while on the multiplayer side of things, it seems the game will be taking trip down memory lane with remastered versions of maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. Beyond that, it’s looking likely that another fan-favourite mode will also be featured.

As reported by @charlieINTEL on Twitter, via its official Call of Duty comms marketing campaign, Activision seems to be suggesting that fan-favourite mode Zombies will be back in the upcoming Modern Warfare 3. Messages sent to the number reading “Zombies” get an audio clip in response, which sounds like undead noises, to say the very least.

The last time we saw Zombies was in 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard. With Treyarch being one of several studios working on Modern Warfare 3, it’s likely that it will once again be taking the lead with Zombies, as usually tends to be the case.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is getting a full reveal tomorrow, so we’ll likely be getting concrete details soon enough.

The game launches on November 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
