It came as no surprise when Activision recently announced that Call of Duty: Vanguard would be receiving exclusive benefits on PS5 and PS4– that’s been the Call of Duty way for several years at this point. Recently, via post on the PlayStation Blog, Activision provided more details on what those exclusives will entail.
Interestingly enough, Call of Duty: Vanguard won’t have an exclusive game mode on the PlayStation consoles. 2019’s Modern Warfare got the Spec Ops mode, Survival, as an exclusive, while last year’s Black Ops Cold War got the Zombies mode, Onslaught. Vanguard won’t be receiving anything along those lines.
That said, the exclusives the game will get on PlayStation are pretty much in line with previous years’ games. That will include the Battle Pass bundle, which will come with tier skips for the shooter’s Battle Passes. PlayStation players who play together in parties will also get a 25% XP boost, while there will also be monthly 24-hour long double XP events only for PS5 and PS4 players.
Other exclusives include two additional weapon loadout slots, while PlayStation Plus subscribers will also get a free in-game bundle celebrating the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard and the next season of Warzone. This bundle will include an operator skin, a weapon blueprint, and more, and you can expect a new bundle to arrive with every new season.
Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on November 5 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Activision has also detailed the roadmap for season one of Vanguard and Warzone. Read more on that through here. You can also check out the install sizes for Vanguard on each platform through here.
