After spending a fair bit of time in early access, The Farm 51’s survival horror RPG Chernobylite launched in full for PC couple of months ago. A console launch was also scheduled for September 7, but with that approaching, it’s been pushed back a tad bit by a few weeks.
Publisher All in! Games recently released an accolades trailer highlighting the critical reception of the game, and confirmed at the end of the trailer that Chernobylite will be releasing for PS4 and Xbox One on September 28 now. It’s been said there were “some unforeseen issues with the console build” with the game’s console build, though no details on what exactly that means have been shared.
Chernobylite is also confirmed to be launching for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, though an exact release date for that is currently unknown.
In our review of the game, we awarded it a score of 7/10, saying, “Chernobylite’s divergent paths bolster its replayability but its inconsistencies in other areas drag down the experience.” You can read our full review through here.
