Cyberpunk 2077 may have recently lost prominent member of the development team, but CD Projekt RED claims the game’s development is coming along well, which shouldn’t be in doubt given the talent the studio has at its disposal. Now, it’s come to light that Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who’s also been a prominent figure at the Polish studio for a number of years, has moved into the role of Design Director for the game.
This is as per Tomaszkiewicz’s LinkedIn page. Fans of the studio’s work will likely have recognized the name. Not only is Tomaszkiewicz now the vice president of game development at CD Projekt RED, he’s also been an integral part of the studio’s development teams in the past. On The Witcher, he served as a senior designer, before moving on to serve several roles for the development of The Witcher 2, including lead gameplay designer and quest designer.
On The Witcher 3 and both its expansions – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine – Tomaszkiewicz was the game director. And now, as mentioned, he serves as the Design Director on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.
The upcoming RPG is currently without a release date, but CD Projekt RED recently confirmed that they would be bringing the game to E3 2019. Read more on that through here.
