Cyberpunk 2077 Creative Director Has Joined Blizzard

Finally, some good news for Blizzard fans!

Cyberpunk 2077

With all the fire that Blizzard has been under recently, what with the backlash to the mobile game Diablo Immortal, as well as reports that Activision is interfering more and more with their internal functioning, here’s a bit of good news for the company that may give their fans some hope.

Sebastian Stępie, who worked at CD Projekt RED for over 12 years, and served as creative and narrative director on the still-to-release Cyberpunk 2077, has apparently joined Blizzard now, according to his LinkedIn profile. He is working as a creative director at Blizzard as well, and apparently only just joined earlier this month.

On the Cyberpunk 2077 side, this shouldn’t be much to worry about. It’s likely that the story and initial vision, which is what a creative director would be most involved with, is long since done. On the Blizzard side, as stated above, this would be a coup. Maybe he can help them right the ship on Diablo 4, which is apparently having a whole lot of development troubles.
