Bungie’s next big expansion for Destiny 2, The Witch Queen, arrives in February. However, the developer dropped fairly significant content pack in December with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack. It offers a standalone Dungeon, some exclusive cosmetics and access to weapons like the Gjallarhorn, which have all been met with decent praise.
With the Destiny Content Vault still being a thing, however, there is some concern is to when this content will be removed. According to game director Joe Blackburn on Twitter, it’s “not going anywhere anytime soon.” This was in response to a query from Young Horses’ president Philip Tibitoski (developer of Bugsnax) on whether the content would be available till The Witch Queen’s launch or until December 2022.
Of course, this doesn’t mean it won’t be removed at all down the line. Forsaken launched in September 2018 and will see many of its parts, like the campaign and destinations like The Tangled Shore, removed next month. As always, time will tell but for now, anyone picking up the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack can rest assured.
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is out on February 22nd for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia.
