Dragon Age: The Veilguard Character Creator Includes “Dozens and Dozens” of Hairstyles

Players can opt for an Elven, Dwarven, Human or Qunari Lineage, obtain different buffs depending on their faction and more.

For all the details that BioWare has provided on Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the character creator is something that we’ve yet to see. Origins are confirmed, with players able to select different factions, but what about the options for crafting your own Rook? Thankfully, Eurogamer’s preview of the first hour indicates many available options.

Players will have five categories when creating a character. Lineage includes Elf, Dwarf, Qunari, and Human, alongside your back story, which ties into the faction of choice. Each faction offers three unique buffs, whether additional damage against specific enemy types, holding an extra potion, etc.

When customizing your Appearance, there are “dozens and dozens of hairstyles” per game director Corinne Busche. The “head” subcategory has eight additional subcategories (likely for customizing other parts like the nose, chin, eyes and so on), and players can select binary and non-binary pronouns with their gender.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches in Fall for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Head here to learn more about its mission-based structure and here for more details on the combat.
