FIFA 19 Reclaims Top Spot In Latest UK Sales Charts

Red Dead Redemption 2 pushed down to second position.

The latest weekly sales charts for physical video game software sales in the UK, as provided by Gfk Chart-Track, are in, and FIFA 19 has reclaimed the top spot for the week ending January 5. That, of course, means that Red Dead Redemption 2 has slipped down one place from last week to the second position. Both games, however, also saw drop in week-on-week sales, with a 64 per cent drop for Red Dead Redemption 2, and a 62 per cent drop for FIFA 19, as reported by GamesIndustry.

The rest of the top 5 is unchanged from last week, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Battlefield 5 retaining their places at the third, fourth, and fifth positions respectively. Forza Horizon 4 is also unmoved at sixth place, though Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has moved up one place to take the seventh spot. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy also moves up from ninth to eighth place.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy has dropped from seventh place to the ninth position, while Assassin’s Creed Odyssey moves up from eleventh place to take the final spot in the top 10, edging out Spider-Man in the process.

While these charts account only for physical sales of games, as has always been the case, GamesIndustry also reports that digital sales shall soon be included for combined sales charts as well. But while data provider ISFE/B2Boost puts the data together, we will be receiving separate digital and physical charts for a while in the coming weeks.
