FIFA 23 will be the last time that EA will be using the FIFA license for its annual football sim series, so clearly, it’s a momentous launch for the series. From a gameplay perspective, however, it’s obviously going to be business as usual. As is customary with this franchise, this year’s instalment will be making a number of iterative changes, tweaks, and improvements, and to go over some of these in finer detail, EA Sports has released a lengthy gameplay deep dive video.
At over 11 minutes in length, the deep dive covers quite a bit, starting with the improvements made to FIFA’s HyperMotion technology and the fluidity that brings about in gameplay and animations. The video also covers the addition of women’s club football, while also detailing improvements and changes being made to things such as jockeying, shots, set pieces, physics, skill moves, and more. Check it out below.
FIFA 23 launches on September 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. It will also launch for Nintendo Switch as another Legacy Edition.
