Forspoken Has Been Rated by PEGI

Forspoken is currently scheduled to launch for PS5 and PC in October, but recent reports have suggested that it could possibly be delayed.

Square Enix’s open world action RPG Forspoken has been on many radars for some time, and if things behind the scenes had gone little differently, it would already be in our hands right now. Originally scheduled for a May launch, the game was delayed to October earlier this year- and a recent development could possibly be suggesting that it’s likelier to hit that release date than its previous one.

To be more specific, Forspoken has been rated by PEGI, the European ratings board. While not exactly concrete evidence, classification ratings are generally indication that games are close to completion and are approaching release. There have been exceptions to that, but those looking forward to the game can take some solace here.

The rating also mentions that the game will include in-game purchases, though what’s being referred to here isn’t microtransactions, but downloadable content packs- likely content tied to pricier editions.

Recently, it was claimed that Square Enix could end up delaying Forspoken to next year and releasing Final Fantasy 16 in its place later this year. Read more on that through here.

As things stand right now, Forspoken is scheduled to launch on October 11 for PS5 and PC.
